hardly even realised that it was V Day actually. It doesn't mean anything to me and I take it like any other day. So I woke up late and went to the bank to apply for a Visa credit card - and the computer refused my application!! I was shocked! But the nice lady at the bank said that this sometimes happens and it's probably because I have only been in full-time employment for a month. So she has to send an application on my behalf to the department that deals in these cases. I wshould get a reply by mid next week. I bought a lottery ticket, and bought some necessities. Then I came home, spent some time on the computer, slept a bit in the afternoon and then went to buy some snacks for the evening cos Trev and Nat were coming over to watch the Song for Europe festival.
That was fun. We watched the show, criticised the hair, make-up and fashion... and paid just the slightest attention to the song. All this whilst drinking wine. By the end of the evening we had drank three bottles! There were technical difficulties on the show so by the time they announced the winner it was about 1 a.m.! And then we went out.
Drank three pitchers of vodka cocktails, met some people, had a laugh, fell and gashed my knee and had a great night. I totally conked out in bed when I got home and woke up with an awful headache and a whopping cough. But I'm fine now :)
Tonight I'm going to get a lot of sleep cos I have to be at work at about 7 a.m. tomorrow! And then I have a meeting at 5 p.m. and after that we should be going to the gym! This is going to be a busy month. But it's my birthday in 9 days so I'm happy!!!
