My New Year's Eve was rather entertaining although it all seemed to go by in a blur and ended quickly. And all this cos of a damn headache that I got at about 7 p.m. and didn't leave till when I woke up this morning.
We went to Trev's house and started drinking sangria and people started arriving and it was loads of fun dancing and drinking. But the headache and the alcohol didn't mix too well together and just a half hour after midnight I was ready to call it a night. The countdown was a rather impromptu one that wasn't really official cos we just relied on nat's watch but it was good even though there was no one to share it with. The others tried to hook me up with one of the two straight guys who were present but he was so not my type that not even the alcohol could bring me to get off with him.
Nat and Lu were going out to Qube and I had walked out of the door and was going with them but I couldn't see straight with the pain that was pounding through my head so I gave up, went back to Trev's and went to sleep in the spare room with the party still going on. I woke up this morning at 7:00 a.m. and walked home and slept again till noon. Then Trev called to make sure that I was ok!
We went to my aunt for lunch which was nice and I spent the rest of the day in my bed :o)
Tomorrow I'm going over to Nicky's to demonstrate how to put on a wet suit and BCD and then jump in the pool!! And hopefully not catch bronchitis in the process. I better not get ill cos I start work on Monday with an induction course of a week and then it's full time all the way. I really hope that it goes well cos I plan on remaining there for 3 years and then hopefully going to London to do my MA and settle there.
